Stayed here around Christmas and it was the quietest place I’ve stayed in the city. Easy instructions and had a smooth in and out. Room is pretty small but if you’re not planning on being in a lot it’s a perfect place to sleep and clean up. Very VERY quiet building and area. Perfect for me and my mom, would definitely stay again.

The room was ready early, staff were welcoming, the location was perfect to walk to everything, and the history of the hotel made it even more memorable.

Everything was great, room was cold and took most the night to warm up but it was freezing outside and the large windows probably didn't help. Bed were a bit tall but once you were able to climb into them they were very comfortable. It was an overall great stay, we would come back.

I wasn’t sure if I would like this hotel or not. In the end, I thought it was okay. I knew there was no front desk person, and I honestly didn’t know if it would matter to me. In the end I think I did miss it. I had also seen in reviews that there is street noise, which was definitely true for my room (#1, on the 9th St side). I visited during a cold snap, so no one was out when I arrived late at night on Weds, and so there was no noise. I slept like a baby! Thursday there were a few people out partying, but the noise died down around 10-11pm and I slept fine. Friday night there was a ton of honking, yelling, loud cars that earplugs were no match for, and I didn’t sleep well. I thought the mattress was really comfortable, though my bed was quite noisy from squeaky springs. The room was nice enough and generally clean, though there were signs that it was not brand new: scuffs on the wall, some unfinished trim around the door, etc. Best parts of staying here were the location, the kitchen, and the gorgeous exposed brick in my room. It’s probably worth the extra money to request a room on the non-street side of the building, so I would recommend factoring that extra cost into your budget.
