"Checkin is at 2 PM but they didn't have the room before 3 PM. They apologized and offerred coffee. That's nice, but you usually want your room ready after a long trip especially I timed it to be there for checkin before heading to Taj. Frontdesk looked a little overwhelmed with a busy weekend and some wedding happening. A 4/10.
My room didn't have a view really; it was the back of the hotel. Nice room overall and clean. The standalone bath leaked after a bath and became hazardous on the slippery marble floor. I find it interesting that the mini-bar was actually empty. A 6/10.
Breakfast buffet was like every other place with many choices. Buffet restaurant staff were nice, professional and helpful. A 9/10.
In room dining was OK with a Sweet & Sour Soup and vegetable fried rice. Didn't really taste Asian and it was heavy on garlic. A 6/10 overall.
It's a 20 to 25 min walking distance from Taj's eastern gate entry and can be done just fine on foot. A 9/10.
I would stay in this hotel again for proximity and knowing what to expect. Overall 7/10."
"It was one of the highlights of my three week long trip. An amazing view of the Taj Mahal, the staff were super friendly and helped me with a currency exchange, the food at the hostel was great, I loved everything about it. Met some awesome other travelers. The whole experience was more than I expected and I would love to come back again if I'm ever close."
"The homestay is a real hidden gem. Tucked away in a quiet street round the corner from the main road and just a 5 minute walk to the Taj Mahal parking area (where you can jump on a shuttle to the gate). The homestay stands out as quite spectacular in its environment and once inside it’s like entering another realm. Absolutely stunning - from the warmth of the reception to the rooftop lounge (yes with views of the Taj!) it’s all 5 stars. Every member of the team was pleasant, helpful and did everything possible to make our stay delightful. The food was quite amazing and if you are staying in Agra to visit for a day or 2 then don’t look anywhere else! Top class and amazing value at the price we paid. Thank you Amman and team!"
"I enjoyed my stay here and for the price it offered all that you need for a great stay. It was very clean and had lots of amenities, the bed was comfortable and the space was great, it's location was also decent as only about a 20 minute drive to the Taj Mahal.
I only stayed at this hotel for one night due to visiting the Taj Mahal so it was perfect for me. They also offered a Taj Mahal tour, although I had already booked my tour, this would have been great if I hadn't already.
The kitchen staff, waitor/tresses, bus Men and security were all very kind, Great customer service from them however I
Personally think some of the check in staff could've been more friendly as they didn't smile.
When checking out the person at the front desk hardly acknowledged me, even after everything was complete and I said thank you to him, he didn't respond. The hotel it's self was good but some of the front desk check in people at the entrance of the restaurant and the main reception, made me feel unwelcome.
Overall I give it a 3/5 because of the check in people at the front desk. If not I would have given it a 5/5"
