The staff at this hotel are absolutely amazing and the breakfast is good with a nice selection of food and drinks. "We stayed in the top suite for one night in January, and it was outstanding. We enjoyed the indoor fireplace, the indoor bathtub and spa shower, the private outdoor hot tub, and private outdoor sauna. We loved the outdoor infinity pool, which was lit up like the northern lights at night. Start for wonderful. On site parking for free. This was a fantastic stay."

"Celebrated an anniversary and birthday while staying at the Waxenstein. An anniversary card and chocolates in our room and a special birthday breakfast table with champagne for my wife’s birthday. All unexpected but greatly appreciated. No doubt our future trip to Grainau will include a stay at the Waxenstein."

GOOD: - amazing breakfast - large rooms with balcony and mountain view - lot's of parking / garage and front of hotel - friendly stuff BAD: - if you like a coffee after breakfast the charges are extremely high (you get it from the same machine where you get your morning coffee for free) - charges in general for drinks are very high - they don't take American Express "
