「Sam, the general manager greeted us warmly on arrival, was very helpful, friendly and professional. Our courtyard room was clean and comfortable with a garden table just outside the door. Plenty of tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Dinner and breakfast were both plentiful and delicious. Highly recommended for a stay in the Mendips with dogs.」

「Called for one while exploring the Somerset Levels. Perfect location for managed to book the last room, this was the largest of all the rooms available comfortable, clean & very spacious. The propriter was very welcoming on arrival and made us tea to take in the rear.」

「The pub is an old building, therefore there are things that cannot be changed, so if you are a light sleeper and cannot use ear plugs this may not be for you. It was not an issue for us. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, we had one evening meal there, breakfast was perfect, they were very accommodating by tweaking the menu to what you prefer. Very close to the caves and gorge, easy to access other attractions.」

「Great little pub in a wonderful countryside location. A nice stopping place for visiting Bristol or Bath and the surrounding areas. I had a lovely dinner here too. Highly recommend.」

「A excellent stay prior to a flight from Bristol Airport. Restaurant was excellent with a good selection of food and drinks. The staff made you feel welcome. Car parking was great and only 15-20 minutes from the airport. Will definitely stay again.」

「The room was far too hot. There was a thick winter 13 tog duvet on our bed ( and it was June weather) my husband asked for a blanket and sheet so the cleaner took away duvet but only left a sheet no blanket, so we were then cold on our second night and had to put our light raincoats on ourselves to keep warm:( The bed was far too small with it being a small double. Suggest you get smaller bedsize cabinets thsn the chunky ones and invest in a wider king-size bed for comfort for guests!」

「Easy location to find. We had the two bedroom apartment and it was clean, warm and comfortable. Breakfast items provided and we had a lovely outlook onto a field with animals. Will stay again and recommend to our friends and family.」

「We stayed for 1 night as we had a flight from Bristol at 6am so we didn't make much use if the hotel, such as the breakfast. Check in was easy and it was easy to leave at 3am, if you're looking for a nice hotel nit to far from the airport. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed for evening meals when we arrived due to a problem with the equipment, the hotel did inform us beforehand which was good of them. The room was clean, the window pane was broken, fortunatkey there is secondary glazing, so...
