「Beautiful hotel. Great food. Nice staff. Beware of the location…. We arrived by train and was forced to get transportation to the hotel which cost us 200 euros. The hotel is 45 minutes from the train station and it is a ghost town. There are no taxis available at the train station. Make your arrangements before arrival. 」

「At first I was bummed out as the room they offered us looked nothing like the room online in the ad. But they kindly changed the room and it was lovely. The food was perfect the setting was fabulous and we enjoyed our stay. 」

「Spectacular hotel and spa. Magnificent grounds and facilities. This is a 5-star hotel that deserves its rating. Breakfasts were spectacular. The room was so quiet—no sounds at all. 」

「This is the first night we stayed in Toscana. The hotel is a real castle located on the top of the hill. The beautiful landscape of agricultural view seen from the hotel was panoramic and breathtaking. The family suite was cozy, containing one living room and two bedrooms. The thermal swimming pool was fantastic and spa center was amazing. Breakfast was flourish. The dinner was also good but overpriced actually. As a whole, I highly recommend staying in Catello di Velona as you visit Toscana.」

「Beautiful grounds and environment, very idillic and scenic. We were able to catch a stunning sunset on the first night. However, the sunrise was blocked by a hill. The breakfast was decent with a good selection. The staff was friendly. We came in late March, so the grapevines were just stubs. Also, their Michelin restaurant was closed so we had to drive out to get dinner. Also none of the wine tours had started yet, and there were no free wine in the rooms (although you can purchase bottles)」

「Very clean, well situated hotel to many Tuscan hotspots. Amazing view from our room of neighboring hilltop villages. Kind of magical stuff. The staff could not have been more accommodating. We had a massage as well and so glad we did. Completely relaxing and rejuvenating. The attached restaurant had very good food as well. We ate there both nights of our stay. 」
