"Upon arriving at the property, we noticed and were notified about construction being done on the rental unit. We were offered 50% off the rental TOTAL if we decided to stay, a full refund, or to be transferred to another property. We agreed with the office to stay and take the 50% off. A day later we received an email as if the situation was new, saying only a flat $200 "gesture of goodwill" will be offered if we decided to stay.
