"This is the concert hotel for us! Moda Center just a few blocks away which makes it easy. Wish they wouldn't crush you on parking fees if you're staying there in the hotel. Only other downside is no microwaves in the rooms. Other than that its great! Clean rooms and friendly staff. "

"This is hands down my wife and my "go-to" hotel in Portland. We live in Portland, have stayed there well over 4 times. We ABSOLUTELY Love the Suite and it is worth the money. We love the vintage look and feel and the beds are extremely comfortable which is important because my wife has severe chronic back pain. The rooms are not overly fancy and they may be lacking in some of the Millennial technology expectations such as TV Casting, but it has the basics for us 50yr olds! We have stayed in many...

"The hotel is lovely, the area is a little rough. Cleaning is done on demand, so it won’t just be done. There was also an additional nightly fee we weren’t aware of. But inside the hotel is super cool and funky, friendly staff."

"I experienced the best customer service during my stay here. Polite and very helpful staff. We interacted with the front desk, and employees in Gracie's and The Driftwood. Everyone was so king. Rooms were spacious and clean. "

"The room here was very nice and clean and we liked being able to sit in the beautiful library section of the lobby while doing some computer work during our stay. The parking garage was also conveniently located and there were lots of options for cute coffee shops nearby. "

"The room is as very small, but nice. The walls are thin. The room next to us had music playing all night and it kept me up all night. The table in the room had water rings in it, making the room look unkempt. The bathroom is big and nice. The staff was lovely. Walkable to everything. "

"The hotel was super nice! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. For my wife and I, the Grand Stark has supplanted another 'hip' hotel in Portland (on Stark across the water in the Pearl) as our go-to when we visit Portland. We love that we can walk to excellent restaurants, bars, and music venues from the Grand Stark. An on-site restaurant/bar is a must, and the Little Bitter Bar (serves food from the Grand Amari) was perfect. We will definitely be back."
