Top Golden Circle Hotel Reviews
Reykjavik Residence Apartment Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The property is located close to all the main sites in Reykjavik (everything within walking distance). The apartment is furnished nicely and contains everything you need when using Reykjavik as your home base to explore the entire west coast of Iceland. Bonus, when staying at the Printing Press building, apartments 506-506 face the Sæbraut waterfront and have a balcony that has a partial view of the Sæbraut Waterfront (faces north). We were very fortunate to catch the northern lights on our first night in Reykjavik from our balcony! This property has excellent customer service which was very receptive and prompt to address any questions we had. I highly recommend this establishment."
Center Hotels Plaza
8/10 Good
"The hotel doesn't have parking and our check-in person didn't provide great options. Fortunately, we figured them out on our own and saved a lot of $ but it would have been better if the hotel has offered this. Also, our room was boiling hot upon entry. But we enjoyed it once it cooled off. Great location and our balcony was great!"
Exeter Hotel

"Good location and we were thankful for parking."
Hotel Viking

"Upscale property"
Hotel Reykjavík Grand
8/10 Good
"We liked the lobby area. Breakfast was good. The shower had an odd small glass partition that didn't stop the water spraying towards the toilet which was too close. Floor was always so wet after a shower. Beds could have had firmer mattresses for us."
Grandi by Center Hotels
10/10 Excellent
"Emma at the front desk went well above to make sure we enjoyed our stay. She made sure our room was well away from the large tour groups also using the facility. Indeed, we hardly noticed the other guests. She also made sure our spa and massage reservations were correct, even changing one to accomodate our changing schedule.. On another day, I stopped to ask where to find an odd size coin battery and the receptnist turned in her seat and said, "you mean like this?" And handed me the correct battery, she then declined to charge me for it. It didn't stop there as the bar, restaurant and housekeeping staff all went above and beyond to be helpful. The spa facilities were very relaxing with two separate hot tubs, a sauna and first class massage therapy services. Tour busses have difficulty navigating the narrow city streets, so there is an organized tour bus stop, #17, a very short walk away, in front of the Maratime Museum, a gateway to the wonders of the far north country. In summary, highly recommended."
Hotel Grimsborgir by Keahotels
10/10 Excellent
"The staff was very friendly and helpful. They even watch for the aurora and if it’s active will give you a wake up call. We were able to see them clearly from our patio. The room was nice and clean and had a great bathroom which was not the case at our other accommodations. The room did get warm but can open window. The breakfast was good and had a lot of options. We would stay here again."
