But I had to book a hotel at short notice and nobody from hotels.com or the person that I rented from felt obligated to compensate the difference of the hotel room I had to book instead of the house I had set up rent. "My husband and I stayed in house #4. Despite the somewhat run down exterior, the inside of the house was a pleasant surprise. It was very clean and cozy. A major highlight was the screen porch where we enjoyed the peaceful river view while having coffee in the mornings.
