「It has been a long time since I've had such an enjoyable time staying in a hotel and will recommend this place to everyone heading to the Mount Rushmore area. All staff was very helpful and kind. The room was very clean. The beds/pillows were comfortable. The rooms were quiet - we didn't hear any neighbors at all. The bathroom was clean and the shower head was awesome. It was so nice to have the full size pumps of shampoo/conditioner and body wash, but it was really awesome to have the hand soap...

「We stayed at this hotel for five nights and unfortunately had several issues that were never resolved during our stay. The biggest problem was the lack of Wi-Fi in our room. We reported it every day by calling, stopping at the front desk, and even filling out a maintenance request form. Each time we were assured that someone would take care of it, but nothing was ever fixed. The UnderCanvas Team deserves a lot of credit — everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. The tent setup and amenities were next level, and the overall environment was exactly what we hoped for. It’s a great base camp for families to visit the surrounding areas.」

「The cabins and rooms at Canyon Lake Resort are intentionally rustic, but clean and well maintained for their age. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My wife thoroughly enjoyed watching the local ducks and geese who seem to have taken up permanent residency around the property.」
