"Our stay at Pike’s Waterfront Lodge was truly unforgettable and made our first visit to Alaska extra special. The hotel is very clean, beautifully decorated, and full of Alaskan charm. The 24/7 airport shuttle was incredibly convenient, and having a restaurant next door plus nearby attractions like Pike’s Reindeer Park made our stay even better. What stood out most was the warmth of the people. Every staff member was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We especially appreciated their honest recommendations as first-time visitors. One highlight was their Northern Lights call service. A special shoutout to Kay from the front desk—she called us, walked us to the riverside, and helped us witness the beautiful Aurora Borealis. It was a magical moment for our family. Breakfast each morning was a great way to start our day before heading out. What truly sets this hotel apart is their exceptional service. On checkout day 4/5/2026, I accidentally left my wallet and headphones in the room safe. Even after we passed TSA, the staff at Pike’s quickly contacted us and arranged for our items to be delivered by their shuttle service to the airport.—with the help of a kind employee from Twigs Alaskan Gifts—just in time before boarding. Huge thanks to the front desk and housekeeping team who worked and handled room 350 & 352 on 4/5/2026 Truly outstanding service—We are so grateful! Truly the Best and Friendliest Hotel in Fairbanks, THANK YOU SO MUCH, We appreciate you all & We’ll be back! "

"I was asked to make a security deposit once I arrived. $150 dollar expense I wasn’t expecting. The bed frame was broken and the HVAC shook when it came on making a lot of noise. I don’t know if it’s normal or not but there also was not a mattress protector on the bed just a really thin see through fitted sheet. Other than that the breakfast was really good, the shower was hot with wonderful pressure. The shuttle was quick and nice people. Probably won’t book them again though. "

"The room was half cleaned , sheets and towel only changed, I have doubts that they clean really. 3 box of pizzas which including pizzaz in it , from previous guests was there, previous guests keyes was on counter, after several follow up i was able to get a refund of 45 $ , i am waiting to get it, they told it takes 10 days. I paid 150$ for one night, we checked in at 3 AM and check out at 9AM. Breakfast was bad also, "

"This did have basic service that you would expect with a 3 star hotel. We were a party of 6, with 3 rooms reserved for 3 nights. Granted, we were some of the last visitors for the season, just prior to closure, but I literally had to go begging coffee refills for the mornings, and the tea was not replenished. I finally located some at the front desk--since housekeeping was unable to locate. Also, had to beg for Kleenex--after the dispenser was left empty for two days. The daily housekeeping service was a huge disappointment. The rooms were not made up until after 5:45 pm. The first day, I had just pulled the covers up on the bed in our room and the bed was then not freshly made that day. The lobby was continually packed with visitors, and difficult to even find a place to sit. People were either waiting for a room, or had checked out and were waiting for a later flight. At any rate, it made the public areas very uninviting. "
