"Convenient to my organized bicycling tour end 4/26 at Hampton Inn Elizabeth City (other hotels in the area were fully booked). Noisy — only 40 meters away from busy hwy US-17 and a high-pitched sound that seems to come from the room’s fridge/freezer; Bring earplugs. Pros: efficient fridge/freezer; business-like staff; clean (except for some stray pet hair). Cons: no security latch on door; in my room 112, unrepaired damage from previous guests — missing shower head (unpleasant to use, to say the least, and Wasteful of water); dented inside bathroom door, dented outside door with keycard-operated lock looking like it’s not biting into solid wood. No desk lamp; chair is not suitable for the desk (no casters). I’d stay here again if no other hotel had rooms available."

"It was a nice stay for a few days. The room and property were quiet and peaceful, making it feel like a getaway. Also, there was a fair choice of eateries and a shopping center nearby, which was convenient."
