"I did not want to share a review of the Econo Lodge because we did NOT end up staying there. When we went to check in at 4:30PM we were told the room was NOT clean and would not be ready for at least another hour. This was unacceptable so we left and found an alternative."

"The room was discusting. It had human fecal matter and blood on wall in bathroom, a used lubricated condom in the nightstand drawer, the refrigerator was a solid block of ice, only one receptacle worked in the room, the furniture was so badly stained you were afraid to sit on it. The toilet didn't work properly, the recptacle in bathroom did not work neither did their hairdryer. The room was overall filthy and can not believe you would even put them on your website. Guess I will not be using...

The Reynolds Homestead, built in 1943 is in a beautiful foothill setting. Hardin Reynolds and his wife produced 16 children here, the most famous being RJ Reynolds who migrated to Winston Salem, NC to start the tobacco empire of the same name. The catalpa tree in the foreground still remains from the earliest days of the homestead.
