"This is our second time staying at Edgelake and we love staying in these condos by the lake instead of a tiny hotel room. Relaxed home away from home style stays that help save money from eating out on vacation with the full kitchen. This unit was a little outdated and we couldn't control the temperature, which oddly enough meant we were to hot all night. Nothing wrong with the beds, per se, but not too my liking and I didn't sleep well. But it's literally on lake Tahoe and close to Northstar...

"This place was disgusting. The towel bar was ripped off the wall, there was a swastika painted in the bathroom, people lived in the room across from us, there was no carpet under the beds (to reduce bedbugs I assume), there were no screens on the windows, the staff was incredibly rude, I could go on and on. Do not, under ANY circumstances, stay here. "

February 1st, and snow is sparse in Tahoe. We parked at the Brockway Summit Parking, but crossed the road and headed up the mountain on Spur Trail. It was warm and quiet. About a 2 mile hike up to the vista point, and the view was not disappointing! Gorgeous lake and the company of good friends.
