"Heat barely worked, left it on 85 just to keep from freezing. bathroom had water seaping out from the wall. Beds felt like they were ready to collapse. Cigarette burn holes in the bedspreads. "

"Was travelling on Blue Ridge Parkway and spent the day hiking in the Rock Castle Gorge. Floyd is closest town to the Gorge. Hotel Floyd is amazingly modern and clean hotel in a very small and charming hamlet of VA."

"The staff is nice. Virginian Motel is under new management. The staff knows me because I was here for 4 days before, and I was here one more time before then, and that was since my birthday in November of last year. The staff is kind, the property is good, the cleanliness and fantastic, the amenities are nice, I just wish there were outlets next to the bed to plug phone chargers in, and I wish there was a mini refrigerator to put things that need to be cold in, like certain medications, and beverages and such, otherwise fantastic! I definitely recommend staying at Virginian Motel!"

"This place is run down and very low end. It’s cheap for a reason, but in this case it isn’t even worth the $60 a night. I’d rather be camping outside. Our room smelled like a wet dog, the shower barely worked, the cold water side of the sink faucet didn’t work, the wall mounted heater was really loud. The sheets looked clean, so there’s that. You weren’t expecting this to be the Bellagio, but it’s barely a functional motel. "
