「This was my 2nd visit to the island and our experience at Kaanapali Alii was so great, we couldn't wait to return. Checkin was easy, our condo was very clean and housekeeping was wonderful. We didn't encounter any unfriendly staff. I was grateful the concierge was the same and she was just as wonderful helping us book excursions as our first visit. 「I have very mixed feelings about this place. On one hand, the location is beautiful, close to the ocean, with a pool on site and plenty of parking for rental cars. On the other hand, there were several important issues that significantly affected the comfort of our stay.
Nowhere in the listing was it clearly stated that the condominium does not have air conditioning. We had to manage by creating cross ventilation, which meant keeping the patio doors and the front door open most of the time....

「While being evacuated from my home in Kula, Hotel rented my family a room in this hotel that was also being of Maui forcible evacuated by the police due to a natural disaster then informed me there are no refunds! It’s unclear if this hotel burned to the ground. Being forced to pay for a room in a disaster area that cannot be used or accessed feels like a corrupt business practice, or sort of like stealing. 」
