Stores, restaurants, bars, water toys, taxi stand, shopping…all near by. Good value

We enjoyed our stay at the Villa Mexicana very much. It is a beautiful beachfront property. Very clean, friendly staff, the first hotel where we met people who, have been coming back regularly for 20 or 30 years!

La Ropa is a beautiful beach to stay on. Hotel was very basic. No Coffee or refrigerator in room. Had to buy water bottles at bar or at store next to hotel. Had to buy coffee at bar as well. We were in a room at end of hall next to what appeared to be an employee area. On a few mornings the employees were very loud as we were trying to sleep. The massage service was amazing though! My husband and i both got massages and we were very happy.

Great spot on La Ropa beach. Lots of chairs around the grounds. Nice pool as well as well as 2 smaller plunge pools. The smaller pools never had any one in them. Room was basic but ok. Had 2 twin beds. Would be really nice to have a fridge. Got the breakfast package and food was really good. Ate a lunch and some snacks here and was also good. Prices have gone up for food and drinks. Lots of restaurants and a couple of stores close by. Overall I enjoyed it and would recommend. Beautiful view out front. Ocean is very swimable here.
