"Grand Fresa Taipei Ximending is a relatively new hotel, conveniently located in the heart of Ximending, right next to MRT Exit 3, making it easily accessible even with large luggage. I chose this hotel because I’ve stayed at their Japan properties before and was impressed by their excellent service and facilities, so I wanted to try this one.
The check-in process was seamless, with proactive staff assistance. The room was spacious, around 400 square feet, with two large beds, a separate bathroom and toilet (equipped with a Japanese bidet), and ample luggage storage space. The air conditioning was strong, and the facilities were thoughtful, including a TV displaying hotel amenities’ usage, though the washing machine status was inaccurate after two days, which the staff should check.
The major issue was the extremely low shower water pressure, which felt like a trickle and made showering uncomfortable. Given Taiwan’s current heat, I needed to shower and change every afternoon, but the weak water pressure was frustrating. If this is for environmental reasons, it’s counterproductive—low pressure extends shower time to 30 minutes, compared to 10-15 minutes with strong pressure, undermining water-saving goals. I urge the hotel to address this issue promptly.
Aside from the water pressure problem, the hotel is nearly perfect."
