"The Westin Bund hotel is ideal for visiting Shanghai. A 10 minute walk to the Bund, where you can also catch a ferry to the other side of the river, or to Nanjing road lined with shops and restaurants. Shanghai station is a 15 minute taxi ride. All staff were very friendly and helpful. "

The entrance to the hotel was built in such a way that didi drivers could not easily access it and consequently my spouse and I were forced to cross the street to enter or exit our car hire. The room was also cramped and the furniture was tired. Generally speaking this hotel and the staff were a major low point of my trip and represented a distinct abnormality when compared with every other hotel I stayed at. It does not surprise me that my original review was protested by this hotel despite it being just the single first sentence you see here - the individuals who manage this hotel do not seem to be willing to accept honest feedback.
