「A lovely inn situated in a peaceful village but very handy for visiting the attractions within York and the North Yorkshire National park. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and our room was very clean and comfortable. We can recommend the food and drinks on offer in the air conditioned restaurant, both on the evening we stayed and for breakfast the following day. Top marks.」

「The guest house was located in a super position, close to the station and city. The walk to the city via the footpath alongside the river was lovely. The hot drinks tray and refrigerator in the room were a useful idea and well used. The bed was comfortable and we got a good nights sleep even though the station was close by. Martyn was great and a good source of information. There were lots of great eating places nearby. We would definitely go back should we visit York again.」
