Located a 20mins (min) drive from the main shopping area and attractions. Very clean and comfortable for a family of 4. Reception staff very helpful. Restaurant wait staff very slow and don't clear tables

So that we're on the same page here, Yogyakarta sucks. You can't walk anywhere, not even really one block from the hotel. The air is dirty from the millions of scooters and there's not much to do outside of the two big temples far out of town. Given that as the baseline, the Gaia Cosmo is a decent hotel. Our room was nice and quiet and the lobby is nice. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They do serve this stomach-churning gross Asian breakfast buffet that smells so strong. I would stay here again, but I'm never going to Java another time in my life.

Mixed, but with great staff

This was a very mixed stay. Positives +Staff were great throughout the hotel. They tried very hard to help. +Restaurant staff lovely. Negatives - very little sound insulation in the rooms. It was very difficult to get any sleep the first night. Children running in the corridors until 2am. Could hear everything from the room next door. - the room was very warm. - shower not very clean. Rest of hotel fairly clean. I probably would not pick this hotel again. The staff were lovely though.

Contated the hotel through Expedia to arrange a transfer and they didnt get back to me. No welcome drink or automatic assistance with luggage. There was no fridge in the room, wasnt that impressed with the balcony, which you could see into another room and the partition screen was at the main corridor of the floor and when it was windy the metal attachments were banging. Safe is too low down in the cupboard, had to get on our hands and knees, should be higher. There was noone to greet us for breakfast the first day and no explanation of it being a buffet or table service. Asked for a peppermint tea for breakfast but was told i would need to pay extra for this, despite the fact there was loads of coffees you could choose. On the first night we ordered food and beers, and then we got told they only had one small beer left and 3 large, which seems strange in an international hotel. Then it took 30 mins for someone to take our order in an empty restaurant. The food was really good though.We tried to order a bottle of red wine at the roofftop bar but they didnt have the one we wanted and they offered a more expensive one. We went back 2 days later to order the wine again and they still didnt have it in... again for a hotel, a poor show. Location is 3k out of the main hub, cant really walk anywhere, no decent amenities around. Would stay here for a few days if visiting the temples but not for any longer. e room,

Tijdens onze rondreis door Java was dit één van onze tussenstops voor een langer aantal dagen. Helaas zijn we hier na 4 nachten en het zien van alle bezienswaardigheden snel vertrokken. Continu insecten in de kamer zoals mieren en op een ochtend zelfs een kakkerlak bij deur. Het ontbijt is ook beperkt qua westers aanbod. De opties voor lunch en avond eten zijn daarentegen prima. Niet helemaal zoals we verwacht hadden in deze prijs categorie en sterren kwalificatie.

This hotel is looking very boutique, really liked how they design the overall place. Not a big hotel, but it is simply have convenient ambience. Staff are friendly, breakfast are nice quality too. Stayed in a Family Suite with a family, the good is they have a microwave and mini kitchenette (but no stove) with a nice balcony. But if you are with family of adults, i think its better to ask for an interconnecting rooms so they have 2 bathrooms. Location wise is quite convenient with nearby restaurants, but better if you have your own transportation. Will definitely recommend this hotel to young family or couple looking for modern boutique hotel style.

Not bad but there are better places to stay for a bit more money. A bit out of the center but close to airport. The food was amazing though- best satay I’ve had! Had some noise from construction and had to change rooms because AC didn’t work other then that it was good!

Echt een TOP hotel met TOP service. We sliepen maar 1 nacht in het Gaia Cosmo Hotel, maar ze probeerden alles naar onze zin te maken. Dit hotel is echt een boetiek hotel, modern! De prijzen van het eten en drinken zijn prima en een stuk goedkoper dan in Bali. De receptionisten waren erg belangstellend en probeerden met ons mee te denken als we ergens naar toe wilden! Ik zou hier zeker willen terug komen 😊

Incredible value in the heart of Yogyakarta. Chic, modern hotel with beautiful decor. Foyer has a great coffee shop and working area, just before a restaurant that serves an ample Indonesian and Western breakfast buffet. Beautiful swimming pool in the middle. Rooms are stylish, calming and inviting. Reception is very helpful if you need to book tours and cars. Only drawback is no safe if you need one.

写真で見るよりも部屋が明るく広く清潔に感じます。無駄を省いた作りでバスタブはなく家具もエコ仕様ですが十分です。 朝食は1Fカフェで品揃えも良い方だと思います。 チェックインより早く着きすぎましたが2Fに休憩スペースがあり、コンセントもあるのでゆっくり待つことが出来ました。 近くの施設で行われたスポーツイベントに行くために利用したので、それに関しては立地も良かったです。繁華街からは離れているのでそこは注意。 ホテルから呼んでもらったタクシーがぼったくりだったことだけが残念でした。 タクシーはGrabを利用しましょう。Grabを利用すれば安全でお安いです。 その件を除けば全体的にサービスも良く満足できました。

Honeymoon stay - ok location style over substance

Booked for our honeymoon stay. The hotel itself is very modern, clean and pleasing in its design and interior. It’s not too far from the centre and easy to get around. We did however find the hotel to be more style over substance overall. The free shuttle is only 2 x a day and is basically a car that gets booked. Once two guests have booked it’s basically gone so not much use to guests. Shuttle implies continuous back and forth journeys. Breakfast wasn’t the best, but the rooms are very nice and beds are so comfy. The messed up a little in the restaurant and fed me meat after requesting vegetarian, but gave us a room upgrade to apologise. The suites are amazing if you can afford them. The pool was good but could do with changing rooms rather than one unisex shower cubicle. Overall we good and we’d stay again for the price :)

Pleasant stay at gaia cosmo

Breakfast is great with many choices. Their traditional drink jamu is good. Got room with balcony which was great! Looking over the pool. Stylish and comfortable stay with minor downside? Which is No fridge in room and main lobby is crowded with cars park in no parking zone. So messy and difficult to get car in and out of hotel. Room of improvement. Location wise its a distance from malioboro but hey you're in yogyakarta, use becak to move around as part of experience. Highly recommended
