This building was originally the Government Press building which was built in 1912. It served as a distribution point for official documents sent from India - remember the British were in control during that time. We loved the colonial style building and that it is still being used by the Ministry of Information.
Botahtaung Pagoda as the sun went down. I am not sure what the entrance fee for foreigners is but the huge sign is slightly obnoxious, isn't it?! The Pagoda is very close to some piers which are quite fun to explore. After seeing many other pagodas in the city, we opted out of paying to see another one.
This gothic style church is absolutely gorgeous and was completed sometime between 1899-1910. It is easy to see the church from around the city because of the iconic steeples. The architecute, detail work, stained glass, and reliefs inside the church are truly works of art. A must see church in Yangon.

Women must wear long pants or skirt to enter. Visitor hours are between 2-5pm and sometime in the morning on days there are not services. Entrance is free

They could do with a bit of a makeover, but it's not a big deal. The rooftop bar is gorgeous! It's ...

It met the usual expectations of a 5-star hotel room. I think what stood out to me the most was their swimming pool and gym, which were both very well maintained.
