Beautiful hotel. Loved the swim up rooms in royal level. Loved the infinity pool and the cocktails at the pool bar. Breakfast excellent. Food in royal restaurant at lunch and dinner could be hit or a miss. Would return but possibly on a bed and breakfast rather than AI basis.
Lovely hotel in great location for a relaxed and slow paced break. Lots of places to dine. Early and the hotel pool in the Royal section is amazing and quiet.
Great location next to the Marina. Spacious rooms incredible food & the staff are lovely.
Could do with another bar with entertainment for evenings in the Royal Level adults oily area.
This hotel is absolutely insaneeee !!
absolutely beautiful decor, very modern and classy.
staff are so friendly and helpful, we had an incredible time, will definitely be coming back again.
thank you Barceló Playa Blanca for such a memorable stay xx
Quieter part of main hotel. Disappointed with our room allocation .. looking out over a waste area. Cheaper rooms in other parts of the hotel with pool & partial seaview. Maybe the hotel should reconsider which rooms are included in the Royal Level - definitely check your room allocation! Buffet was lovely private & small ( but we actually preferred the main buffet). Lovely long heated pool area.
Book a better room in the main hotel rather than Royal Level would be our advice.
A lot of walking ... Huge hotel which requires quite a bit of walking & limited lifts (extra lift in Royal Level).
I stayed in the adults only Royal section which was very good. Particularly the restaurant, breakfast and dinner were first class. The hotel is new and spotless, very well appointed, great attention to the extra things to make it special. Cava on check in for instance. However… it’s let down by getting some very basic things wrong, 45 minutes to check in, no staff to greet you when you arrive to make sure you queue in the correct queue, so when you finally get to the front you’re told you’re queuing in the wrong queue. Too much information given as standard at checkin making it even longer, as a suggestion if you can pick up your room key quickly you could then have a separate desk to ask questions, so the whole queue behind you doesn’t have to listen to a description of all the amenities of all the guests ahead of them several times.
The hotel looks amazing. Check in seemed to take a long time to check in as there was only one person at the check in desk. The room on the royal adults only side was clean and nice. I didn’t like the key bracelet as it kept frying and getting too tight on my wrist. The magical restaurant look great but was unorganised with no one seeming to know what they should be doing as the tables were not clean away and reset up quickly and I was waiting for a coffee cup for over 20 minutes and had asked 3 times for a cup. The food was slow to come out in to the buffet area.we also had a power cut one night around midnight and our room was lite up by a bright emergency light which was on all night until 7 am when they turned the power back on. The manger of the hotel did give us a complementary meal in the Mexican restaurant which was great and very well run by the staff plus the food was great.

Beautiful resort, but with some hiccups
Very beautiful resort, but we arrived just 1 month after opening. Room was nice, but was not clean. Very much dust and my socks got so dirty by walking in the room. We paid for a swimup room, which was lovely, ask for room 1245, it is a corner room and has the biggest pool area! Water not heated, and in winter time it was freezing, but I was prepared for that so no complaints. We also had Royal Level access and it was SO worth it! If you travel without children, do not hesitate! The food in Magical restaurant was GREAT, kudos to the chefs! Breakfast, lunch and dinner service SUPERB! Not all restaurants was open when we were there, unfortunately. I would have loved to try KOI. I think after a couple of months and by summer this will be a great resort. Maybe a little bit cleaner, pool a bit warmer. It was very few guests, so the whole place was very quiet. I think Barcelo Playa Blanca is a good choice if you want and can pay for something more upscale in Lanzarote. But do choose Royal Level!
This hotel is huge, has lovely rooms and great food.
We stayed in the adult only area which had the additional benefit of a large heated pool and separate dining area. We didn't use the dining at all as we found the options in the main buffet restaurant to have more choice for vegetarians. The main buffet restaurant had lots of choice. Breakfast was amazing!
The additional heated pool was very nice however where it is located there are very few sunbeds that have access to shade. We sat around the main pool on a couple of days as we preferred the vibe there. The bar area had enough choice and a separate dining area for all-inclusive guests. This area did offer a bit of shade.
We were entitled to one free spa day which was ok but we wouldn't have paid for another day. This is just personal choice.
We did use the paddle courts which were great fun.
Our room had a side sea view, tea/coffee making facilities, mini bar and lovely shower with separate toilet. Just note that the shower isn't in a separate room so there's not much privacy. It really is a beautiful room.
Entertainment in the hotel was a bit hit and miss. We liked Champs bar and particularly Celeste, whose singing was amazing. Other nights were not so good.
Overall, a beautiful hotel in a fantastic location close to the beach and harbour. Do you need to pay for the adult only area? Probably not if outside school holidays - depends if you want the extra pool/dining area. We found the main facilities were just as good.
The only negative was house keeping, they didn’t leave towels or top up any of the tea/coffee/milk in the rooms and they sisnt give you a ticket to get out of the car parks as it was free to park in the adults only royal level
Lovely hotel & general staff all very nice. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. Food in adults only restaurant was hit & miss, food in main buffet seemed fresher.
Lots of lovely restaurants along the marina within walking distance.
This hotel is out of this world! Could not fault a single thing. Staff worked hard and were helpful, particularly Lucia and Erika in the Magical restaurant and Adrianna (unsure of exaxt spelling)and Laura who did aqua fit and aerobics daily, always with a smile. The rooms were superb. The food excellent. We will definitely return. Thank you.
