"This stay at Blackthorn went above and beyond what I needed - some time and space for myself to write. In the comfort and peace of this hut in this location, I was able to write nearly 10,000 words, unheard of in my everyday busy life at home! "Super cute, like being in your own romantic little bubble in the countryside. We came to watch a friend do a parachute jump at the airfield for charity. It was the perfect place to stay for a night or two. Loved the BBQ, the view through the windows and the way the space was designed. So compact and yet everything was so considered and well designed. "Kitchen and floors were not clean at all. Food still stuck to cutlery and dirty glasses. Grubby work tops. Lots of cobwebs in the house, which is due to lack of cleaning. Bed & bathroom were clean enough. No mirrors in any of the rooms, we had to share 1 mirror in the landing between 5 girls which isn’t that great. To be honest if you’re not overly fussy or care where you stay it’s a great location and quiet village. "

"Lovely property just a short walk into the centre of Bourton on the water, though beware there is a very steep hill to climb when walking back. Very spacious. Lounge and open plan kitchen could do with a bit of an update. Fabulous views across the country side and so many different species of birds to view from the very large window in the lounge. Owners very kindly left binoculars and a bird book. Extremely quiet setting. Stayed Friday to Monday and it was a really lovely break. "
