The staff contactd me ahead of my stay to tell me that the hotel was going to be hosting people stranded after flooding in the north of the province. This meant the hotel would be busier than usual, expecially since one elevator was under repair. I appreciated the advance notice.

Nobody provided us with a number for the front desk, so we had to call the hotel directly, the room itself was average. The hot tub had yellow water and was not even lukewarm… there was poop on the ground, and the pool water had a film over it… Location in proximity to Canada life centre was very convenient. Overall an okay stay just very disappointed about the cleanliness of the pool facilities.

Hotel was being used as a housing unit for some misplaced individuals. We thought it would be fine so we proceeded with our stay at the hotel only to arrive and immediately ask that we be switched to a new hotel. Floors 1-9 were FULL, consequently could not use any of the amenities they had to offer us. We were escorted even in the elevators by security with random people running in and out of the building a very unsettling experience. Area around the hotel was not nice either.

Stains on the carpet in both our rooms. It seems like northern communities have overtaken this place and live here long term. There’s a lot of shady people outside of it and also inside. Full time security at the building. If I was there with my family we would have left immediately.

Because of severe weather condition, the air conditioner could not make the room all the time. One of the elevators was out of service for my whole stay, and the only one was very busy with some issues. The safety of the area was terrible, and some security crews were assigned in different floors.
