"The resort was very comfortable and close to places to eat. They had a continental breakfast. The fireplace in the lobby was usually burning to take the edge off the crisp mornings. Staff were friendly."
"Not being able to book a place near Stowe, we were thoroughly satisfied with Johnsbury. It was a 1+ hour drive to Stowe, but the scenery was beautiful and it worked out even better for us. (We did not spend as much time visiting Stowe as we thought we needed)
Johnsbury was a great town with many good places to eat. We even ate in our room as the rooms were quite huge and equipped with fridge and microwave.

The Whip Bar and Grill on the premises is an excellent restaurant with good a good selection of entrees and drinks.
I've seen some reviews where people were disappointed but if you tell the staff that the food did not meet expectations, I am sure that they would replace it with something to make it right. There are many people that don't communicate issues. A good estabishment like The Whip will take care of you if you let them."
