It was a historic hotel. Loved the atmosphere and everyone was great. Had dinner at the restaurant which was delicious. Then we walked across the street to the Murphy theatre for a great show.

The hotel was beautiful with all the pretty Christmas decorations.. Lovely room with pretty furnishings. The staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to help with all requests. Very much appreciated.

We loved our stay at this hotel! It was much more spacious than we expected, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The decor was charming, and the bed was very comfortable—we slept so well. It’s a beautiful historic building and made for a wonderful stay.

Our stay at the General Denver was really made special by the staff - both at the hotel and the restuarant. The service and the food were excellent. We also loved how walkable Wilmington is - we had breakfast and coffee at Kava Haus and it was phenomenal. A 10 min walk from the hotel, it was perfect for working off that cinnamon roll from the Kava Haus.

The Denver General Hotel is a beautiful historical building. They were just begining to decorate for Christmas and it was so nice. Great location in downtown Wilmington. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was small but perfect for our needs. Very clean. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a nice continental breakfast. We are planning on staying again next time we visit.

Beautifully historic and comfortable

This is a really lovely hotel that feels both historic and designed for comfort. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever been in in a hotel. The breakfast is basic, but was open throughout the day to grab snacks when needed or in advance of the next morning.

The General Denver Hotel is a historic site. It looks like an old ski lodge. We find it to be very cute. There is a restaurant and 2 bars downstairs, the food, drinks and service are really good. This is our go to place when we are in Ohio for tue ren faire.

A Great Place to Stay in Wilmington

Was pleasantly surprised how nice this place was. The staff was very helpful, and the restaurant had excellent food. It was only 4 miles from the World Equestrian Center and the Catholic Church was right across the street. I'm planning on staying there again next time I come back.

We had heard about the hotel on a TV show and it sounded interesting. We stayed one night, a Saturday, as an anniversary getaway. It was very nice, the food was excellent and we had fun on the patio listening to music.

We needed to check in a little after thr check-in time, but the team was willing to work with us and accomodate our delayed arrival which I appreciated. The room was nice, though I did feel a bit awkward having a connecting door to another room. I'm not sure if all the rooms are like that.
