We had a wonderful 5 night stay at Villa Tokara. The entire staff was warm and welcoming. We loved early morning lattes and incredible banana bread on patio. Late night swims in the pool Fred helped us find numerous restaurants (the basket of shrimp at Visserij was a standout) and also beach recommendations. Our room was stunning (the one right above the main entrance!). They are in process of building a bar and restaurant which will only enhance the entire landscape. Also loved the central location in Willemstadt but was profoundly quiet and serene at night

On our family's first trip to Curacao, Villa Tokara provided a place to call home and rest after a full day at the beach and exploring the island. The Family Suite was perfect for a our family of two adults and two teenagers. Us parents had our own private room and all the rooms were air conditioned. The mini fridge was useful as well for our snacks and drinks. Every morning, we would step out of our suite into their lively and sunny cafe where everyone, from locals to tourists, was enjoying their coffees and greeted us with a smile (try their Miso Maple Cold Brew while you're there - it's amazing!). The feeling of a close-knit international community was very refreshing, especially after being used to more by-the-numbers hotels and resorts. The location was perfect as well (we rented a car). Free street parking was always available. There are many world-class restaurants nearby, even right next door. During our visit, Villa Tokara was even building their own on-site restaurant - we're looking forward to that for our next visit! For more casual dining, there are many local restaurants within a 10 minute drive and the mall and its food court and supermarket are less than 20 minutes away . And, of course, Willemstad is practically right around the corner. A very special thank you to Jordan, Liesl, Stefano, Frederique, and all the wonderful staff (and El Gordo!) at Villa Tokara for making our family feel welcomed at their beautiful hotel. We will definitely visit again!

The room was very comfortable and the Hotel had a nice pool. What separates this place is the service provided by the manager, Frederique, and the owners Jordan and Leiden. They attended our every need with care, made wonderful recommendations helping us with reservations and had a great positive attitude which permeates the Villa.

What a gem of a place. So special To be able to stay in one of the historical properties in the district and be able to walk to all the sights. So many excellent dining options within a block. Loved every minute of the stay.

Lovely boutique hotel in Willemstad.

Wonderful building, dating from the 1880's--has a bog, open, spacious feel, and the rooms are very comfortable. 20 minute to the center of town, and our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We would stay there again!

Great, family run hotel in a historic villa. Close to the beach and restaurants. Short drive from Hato airport. Room was lovely and the owner was very personable. If we're back in Curacao we'll definitely stay at Villa Tokara again.

Lovely Villa Tokara

Nice place with walking distance to nice areas and 15 min to city. There is self check-in and staff in the lobby in the morning. Loft Room is fantastic.

Definitely recommend!!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Villa Tokara! The suite we stayed in was beautifully and tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. The villa is in a very walkable area and central to many restaurants, bars, and shopping. It is equally suitable for a romantic getaway or a family vacation. Our host, Arrien, was extremely delightful and helpful!

Beautiful property, we had a complimentary upgrade and the room was amazing. We felt right at home, had all the amenities you need. The property itself felt quiet and relaxing yet had everything you need close by(5-10 minute walk). Staff was excellent and helped with all our check in/check out needs. Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in der Villa Tokara! Die Lage ist super. Die Villa liegt nahe der Stadt, hat viele Restaurants in Laufweite und verfügt über einen gesicherten Parkplatz. Das gesamte Team ist unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und unkompliziert. Wir haben uns sofort wie Zuhause gefühlt. Auch haben wir tolle Tipps für Restaurants und Ausflüge bekommen. Sehr lieb ist auch der Hauskater Gordo. Alle Räume des Hauses sind sehr hochwertig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Hier macht sich das Team wirklich sehr viele Gedanken. Unser Zimmer war in einem kleinen Nebengebäude des Hauses und ebenfalls stilvoll eingerichtet. Das Bett sowie Kissen, Handtücher und Decken waren extrem weich und angenehm. Im Gemeinschaftbereich des Hauses befindet sich ein Café, mit sehr gutem Kaffee und einer kleinen Auswahl an Frühstück. Das war perfekt! Wir haben auch unseren Mietwagen über die Villa Tokara gebucht. Frederique hat uns den Kontakt zu Carina hergestellt. Der Service und das Auto waren hervorragend! Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen! Vielen lieben Dank für die tolle Zeit!
