"Our family used it for a stop over for one night, but with how much there is at the hotel I kinda wish I stayed for two. There is construction going on with the tree houses being built which looking at the direction they face, they will have a fantastic view of the lake. "I made a reservation at this hotel through Expedia back in October, reserving & paying upfront for a room in May 2026, there was a concert at the venue close by. 2 weeks before arrival the hotel called saying they had moved me to a hotel a few miles from the city centre due to overbooking a whole floor worth of rooms and they had to move all the ones made through Expedia or other 3rd party websites first. I told them the reason I was staying in the city centre was because I wanted to be close to the concert venue, a 3 minute walk. Instead of a 10 minute drive, the hotel did offer to pay for up to 4 taxis, however I explained this would be inconvenient to myself, both myself and my friend who was staying with me were arriving to the station at different times & also both leaving the next day at different times, well there’s four taxi trips, without going into the city to the concert, I also didn’t want the hassle of constantly having to think about how and when to get a taxi, it’s the whole reason I booked a hotel in the city centre. I spoke with another manager who went away for a week to look at other options. After multiple phone calls through the week prior to arrival they said they had found an apartment for me in the city centre, so I appreciate the effort they went to to find me this, they paid for it on my behalf. hadn’t received any check in details to the apartment. Around 15:00 on arrival dayreceived a call from the apartment telling me they hotel hadn’t paid them!"
