Outsanding stay

Deon & Leane were incredible hosts. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we felt welcomed and spoiled. The staff was attentive to every detail imaginable, the room was spotless and extremely comfortable and the views are breathtaking. Very sad we only had one night, we are already planning our return trip.

Comfortable stay on the beach

Great location on the beach. Very friendly hosts who lay on the booze - free brandy and whisky in the bedroom! We had terrible weather but must be lovely in the sunshine. Felt a bit like staying in someone’s house but it was very comfortable. Wilderness is a sweet little town with nice trails nearby.

The Beach Villa at The Wilderness - Outstanding

The Beach Villa is THE most amazing place to stay! It is simply outstanding in every way. Deon and Leanne are unbelievable hosts, very hands on, always available with advice and recommendations. We’ve stayed here twice and this is arguably our most favourite place! The view of the Indian Ocean as you enter the lounge area is breathtaking! Absolutely everything is five star! We had an absolutely amazing stay at Beach Villa Wilderness and are already looking forward to return. Unfortunately we could only stay for one night but next time we will make sure to stay longer. It’s definitely one of the most beautiful accommodations we ever stayed . A very luxurious room with balcony looking out on the ocean. The room was large and cosy and the bed very comfortable. The interior design is very beautiful .Attention to detail including a beach bag to use to take towels to the beach. The location is perfect direct on the quiet beach and walking distance to a lovely restaurant.Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

I do not make a habit of writing reviews. For me to do so means that something has either fallen well short of an expected standard or has far exceeded them. This review falls into the latter. I Spent two nights at this property in September 2025 (suite 6). If you want to know what a 5-star boutique offering should look like then this is the exemplar. The interior design and overall finish on the property is superb. Some absolutely exquisite art works and pieces of furniture are complemented by some relevant and inspirational sporting memorabilia. Just stand at the back of the guest lounge area, look out over a stunning seascape and drink in the sheer elegance and finesse of this place. There are so many additional features including the excellent quality of complementary snacks, drinks and toiletries and the provision of beach chairs and towels. However, it’s more than simply just the provision of beach towels, more it’s the way in which they are presented. Not just laid out on a chair or table but carefully rolled and placed into a wicker carrier that is easily transportable onto the beach. It’s just those simple, classy examples of attention to detail that lifts Beach Villa to another level. Absolutely superb. Thank you.

Our favourite place on the garden route!

We loved our stay!! Deon and Leane were such kind and helpful hosts. The hotel is beyond amazing, the view over the ocean was our favourite part (and the rooms and the breakfast :) The rooms are gorgeous and so well decorated. Everything was perfect, such a shame we only had one night over there but we will be back :)
