「To visit the caverns, we have to choose a hotel in Carlsbad. There was not much options out there. Everything was OK here, with an unfair price though. However I would assume there hardly is a better option around this area.」

「The front desk lady gave me room 330 I got there at 1:15 am and went to my room after a long 5hr drive there was a naked person with a dirty room! I was so traumatized! I tried to reach out to the general manager and got no response!! I was moved down stairs and other guests were so loud it was horrible I will never rent a hotel ever again I’ll stick to air bb!!! This was terrible 」

「We booked here last minute. Based on the online photos we thought it was maybe an up and coming little boutique motel. Everything seemed nice and good at check in, then we got into our room… there was feces and blood on the bathroom wall. There was stuff on the shower floor. The toilet, shower door and sink had not been cleaned. There were stains all over the carpet and walls. The sheets were stained and had long black hairs everywhere. This was one of the worst experiences we’ve had and will...

「This was an unexpected, unique property, which is something we love about road-tripping. Although smaller than most hotel rooms, it provided everything we needed, was clean and comfortable. The best part was the owner’s (Bonnie) hospitality. We enjoyed our conversation with her at breakfast, where she blessed us with homemade burritos (as well as other breakfast items/snacks for the road).」
