  • This is one of my favorite hiking trails! It consists of 3 big waterfalls as you ascend to the top. Be cautious though you need real hiking boots to hike the trail. It’s extremely slippery because of the waterfalls and we went on a day where it rained so it was even worse. Most people make their way up the side of the waterfalls, which involves a lot of climbing on rocks and using your hands. It gets very crowded so we went up the "flatter" trail most people use to go down, which made for a really good work out, and started from the top waterfall and made our way down. This is not a kid friendly place. The trail is dangerous and difficult. There were warning signs everywhere saying to wear the correct shoes and that people have died here, but there were so many people there with their small children who were having lots of trouble climbing and so many people with flip flops. Also no one here had any hiking etiquette about letting others pass. Regardless, this is one of my favorite trails.

Spent my days in Hickory Run State Park, hiking and fishing. I just slept here. It was clean enough and comfortable enough for an outdoorsman. Quite average.

Wonderful Stay

The stay suited my needs. Needed a room for the night and place to stay for the day while my dog had surgery nearby. It worked.. Hot water, nice bed, clean room and quiet!

Property is what it is. It's an old, aging motel. Looks like it's from the 50's. Paint was peeling and various other damage around the room. Bad WiFi. On the positive, plenty of space, front room with a pull out couch and TV, back room with the beds and another TV. Good location. Service waa great, everyone at the property was friendly. And I can't say enough about how clean this place was. I can tell they care and pride themselves on it. I would suggest bringing your own bath products, and be warned if you run out of tp, there is no spare roll in the room.

The room looked like it had water damage in the past. Ypu could see it on the walls and in the bathroom. There is very little room between the beds or room. The bed was comfortable ..you get what you pay for as it was the cheapest in the area.

Needs updating

The room was outdated with pink tile and bathtub. The mattresses- I could feel each individual spring in my back all night. The pull out sofa mattress was worse. The living room TV didn’t work. The family who runs the hotel was nice. I just wish the rooms were a bit more comfortable and updated.

Very rude

I arrived at the hotel after drivibg for 5 hours. Upon check in the lady was very nice and helpful. I brought it to her attention the tv was not working so she woke up the man that works there and was sleeping. He came to the room and tried getting rhe tv to work. He cound not. He accused my borfriend and I of smoking in the room which was false. He was outside suttibg in the steps smoking. He became very rude and telling us he was calling cops and for us to leave. The lady tried to calm hin down and told him to be polite we have just arrived not even for 5 mins. He came back to the room several times threatheing us and telling us to leave. Very rude man and unpolite.

If you're looking for a cheap place to sleep this is the place. Pillows and blanket smelled. Bathroom was in need of a renovation. Not the greatest place, my wife wasn't too happy

Nice hotel

Was in the area for Savage Race have stayed here 2 times before at first it wasn't available and I was booked at another hotel, but when it became available I canceled the other to go here. There's a Wawa no matter which way you turn out of the hotel and you feel safe where the hotel is located and it has a well lit parking lot.

The place was a little run down, but the price was good and there were no bugs. And he also had a sofa, which helped with an extra place to sleep.
