"A grade II listed property in a historical part of Shepton Mallet. Took time to read up on the area, would recommend everyone to do that, very interesting. Comfortable bed, clean room and great hosts. Some noise from the road adjacent to the Inn, not a deal breaker. Would I stay here again Yes. "

"This was the worst place ive ever stayed in. I had a small room in a terraced house on a rough housing estate. The room needs painting & cupboard was broken. The lady didnt even come out the front room to say hi. The bathroom also needs upgrading. Doors didn't shut properly, so other people in the house had to slam them shut. "

"The pub/hotel is on the Main Street across from the petrol station so we expected it to be noisy but thankfully it wasn’t in the room. You check in at the bar which can be problematic if you bring your luggage in with you as it can be packed with bar patrons. The rooms are in a separate building which is quite new, parking is first come first serve for both hotel and general public so we had to park down the street until we could find one closer. "Not a traditional B&B, but a spare room with private bathroom in the host's house. David was very friendly and welcoming. His house is spotlessly clean and our room was well equipped with lots of space Our bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large and clean. Breakfast was a nice touch, with David accommodating our needs/wants without skipping a beat. Definitely consider staying here, but book in advance as the room goes quickly."

"After a long journey we were met by Liam, who promptly prepared us tea and cake to have in the courtyard, which was so welcome. He booked a table at the local pub for us and really looked after us for the duration of our stay. The historic building is quirky, beautifully appointed and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. We stayed in the Sheppey room, which is large and very comfortable, Roll top bath and walk in shower are great. Spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast. A real little gem...

"I have stayed here twice before. The welcome from Lyndon is great. The breakfast is freshly cooked and plenty of it. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom was clean. However the wardrobe was in need of repair and the fridge had old food in it. The bedside cabinets had a layer of dust but I base my review on comfort and hospitality "

"Rather a quirky place on the edge of Bristol. There is a bus stop right outside, very convenient, took about 40 minutes into city centre so no parking to worry about. Our room was rather dark with heavy wood and colour scheme, but well enough equipped, although there was a considerable amount of traffic noise. Tiny shower and diy breakfast (plenty of it). The owner was away but the gentleman who welcomed us was very friendly and chatty. This was not a luxury stay but fine for a stopover. "
