D. Hotel Suites & Spa

"This is my second time at D Hotel and I think it was much better. Check in was faster, room was nicer and the bed was fantastic. Desmond and Jeanette were great at the free breakfast and they worked hard to make sure that everyone had everything they wanted. The breakfast was certainly a step up from most places that offer free breakfast with a wider choice of foods both hot and cold. To a person, everyone is super friendly and helpful. Perhaps the only drawback to D Hotel is that the bathrooms are dated and feel crowded. On the other hand, lots of hot water!! I would suggest they move the workout room. It is just too small. I was in there on my own both days but if there was another person it would feel crowded. Also, it is above a room so they don't open it until 8 am. That being said, I was allowed in at 6:30 as long as I didn't run on the noisy treadmill."

"Did not like the parking. Lot of construction in the area. Safety to from the assigned parking was a concern at times. The rain didn't help the situation either. During the construction period a small shuttle to the parking lot would help. A multi passenger golf cart would be ideal."

"This is a wonderful, historic inn. Check out the Red Lion Den for music. We heard a terrific local group. We ate in the Tavern and the food was tasty. This is not a luxurious place. It dates back to the 1700s. But it is really charming. My friends and I stayed in a suite in an out building. We had a low-ceiled living room downstairs, which was a. great place to talk and catch up. The bedroom situation was a little funky because the bathroom was right next to the bed in one of two sleeping areas upstairs and the door really squeaked when it opened and closed. But that was about our only complaint. I'd be delighted to return."
