I had a wonderful experience staying at this property. I especially admire the host for his attention to the details and his ability of organizing: the house was so clean and everything so well organized that I learned something valuable during my short stay. The breakfast was excellent. The "room" was very unsatisfactory. It was on a balcony and was not sealed from the main living room. Maybe this was stated in the description, but if so I missed it and it wasn't very prominent.

The owner treats every guest like family, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Sam and Kaz were very welcoming. We were early for our check in time, but they were very accommodating. Very quiet location. Breakfast was made as needed and Sam was sure to communicate about needs and preference of each guest.

Great outdoor space to have morning coffee or eat dinner. Our host was very friendly and had good recommendations on where to eat in the area. Even though we didn't use them because of our one-night stay, we had access to laundry and table tennis. Nice conversation over breakfast with our host and fellow guests. The Burgundy was very clean and had a great location overlooking the river. I would come again and certainly suggest it to others.

Overall house and our “Blue Notes” room was immaculate. Breakfast was beautifully prepared and different for the duration of our 5-night stay. Host Sam could not have been more attentive or thoughtful. He sat with us every morning to chat and inquire about our agenda for the day. He made value-added suggestions. We enthusiastically recommend this B&B. Also centrally located to downtown Halifax and scenic spots in this area of the province. (Laundry facilities available.) several thumbs up!
