"This hotel is in a great location which allows for a nice long walk along the river and city parks. I like older hotels where you can back your car up close to your room door. Note that vegetation along the river's edge prevents good river views (but helps stabilize the shoreline). This hotel needs a bit of refreshing-our door weather stripping was peeling off and dangling at the threshold. Also, our shower curtain was missing but the front desk quickly got us a new one."

"The only concern was the lack of an elevator. Thankfully my husband was luggage the suits case up the stairs and not me. Otherwise the stay was good, in a clean room and comfortable bed, with friendly staff."

"Beds are very comfortable. Clean. Great air conditioners.They only give one face cloth not sure why. Bathrooms have low toilets, hard to use for people with bad knees. Bathrooms are old but the showers are good. The rooms are a little noisy from floor above. Have ear plugs if you are sensitive."

"Hotel bathtub is very high walled: no grab bars at all. Anyone with mobility issues, even a sore leg will be challenged to get in and out. This includes parents lifting children in and out of tub. First time I've felt insecure trying to take a shower. I mention this as the height of the bathtub is taller than usual, no place to steady oneself. Addition of grab bar would go a long way The hotel itself is in a newish commercial area. Walking the area is okay."
