B&B in Walapane

"We had a wonderful three nights here in a traditional homestay. It was in a very peaceful location but only a few minutes walk downhill to the lively town of Ella. Cynthia and her family were very friendly hosts and provided us with enormous varied breakfasts. "

"A lovely small hotel, with beautiful views and very helpful staff. There is a fantastic roof terrace but unfortunately at the moment they do not have a licence to serve alcoholic drinks, which is a shame. We only had one meal there, apart from breakfast and it wasn’t outstanding. The pizza was bland and unappetising. Sitting on our balcony looking down at the lights of Kandy was a pleasure. "

"I normally don’t write a reviews but this was the worst accommodation so I decided to write. I’m traveling all around Asia and this was the most stressful experience I’ve ever had in my life. First of all, room is not clean at all, towels smells awful ( it’s like someone’s already use it before), many ants climbing up on bed, and the worst thing is so many species of insects. We couldn’t sleep because of the many insects and mosquitoes. You can find much more better accommodation with this...

"While the location was good, the hotel was a huge disappointment and the room looked nothing like the photos..the bed had 2 small, old and flat pillows. The sheets were poor quality and pilled. No cover other than the top sheet and nor surface to even put my toothbrush down on in the bathroom.,plus the toilet was loose and moved when you sat down. The breakfast was horrible also.,pick another place.lots to choose from."

"Really beautiful view and lovely location, even with the occasional train passing by (if anything, it added to the charm). Very kind and helpful hosts, who loaned their umbrellas to us and accommodated our last minute change of breakfast time when we were running late from a morning hike. They also packed our breakfast to go when we checked out early on our last day. Walking along the train tracks is by far the best way to get to town and back in under 10 minutes. The paved road is quite windy...
