They really go above and beyond to make your stay excellent. The property has no reviews because it’s a new opening, but the room are spacious, the view is great and the bed very comfy. Make sure to dine at their restaurant, the food is delicious!

We arrived around 6.30pm during a crazy storm, the down pour was full on. The signs could be clearer, our driver struggled to get up the steep hill so we walked with our bags. Staff were great, had dinner in the room and cocktails, tasted great. Room was nice with great views. We would happily stay here again.

A beautiful new boutique hotel featuring sustainable rock-stone architecture designed by award-winning architect Palinda Kannangara. The property has a modern, minimalist, and zen-like aesthetic, with grey-toned interiors that evoke the signature style of Tadao Ando. Our room was located at the highest point of the property, offering stunning panoramic views of the Ella Gap. The trade-off, however, is the considerable number of steps required to reach the room from the lobby, which may be challenging for some guests. Upon check-in, we encountered some issues with the Wi-Fi in our assigned room, but the hotel staff responded promptly and offered us an alternative room, which we appreciated. The hotel also features a lovely outdoor saltwater pool and is conveniently located within easy reach of the town centre. Breakfast was included and showcased traditional Sri Lankan flavours — which was served near the pool. Overall, a stylish and tranquil retreat with spectacular views, thoughtful service, and a distinctive architectural character.

Unfortunately, our stay at Elevate Ella was disappointing. The service was well below expectations. We stayed for three nights, and our room was never cleaned. Wet towels were never replaced and there was no where to hang them to dry. We only received water on arrival. The porters were incredible though, bringing our suitcases too and from the room. Our room was on the highest level. It meant nice views but a massive hike up every time we wanted to come and go, following a steep hike from the town to the base of the hotel. Even being relatively fit we found it a hassle, and it's one of the reasons we never had breakfast or visited the pool - the stairs were too much. The room was quite dark and the bathroom had a very dusty smell. At one point our bed was bouncing from the neighbours. Additionally the shower frequently ran out of hot water, the air conditioner could only be changed by resetting it, the safe did not work, bed was awful, the phone had no dial tone and when there was a power outage the staff never responded to our questions. The highlight of our stay was the two friendly dogs on the property they were absolutely lovely. Particularly Ellie who loved pats and had a real jealous streak in the cutest possible way. Overall, I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

What I Liked Rooms & Views: The room was spacious, clean, and tidy with a nice balcony view. Location: Well-located with good cafes easily accessible. Amenities: The swimming pool was temperature-controlled and a great bonus. Food Quality: The food served was delicious. What I Didn't Like Accessibility Issues: The property is located 250 meters up a hill from the road and requires navigating 25 steep steps, making it very inconvenient with strollers, babies, or elders. Pest Issue: The washroom was infested with ants, and despite repeated requests to the staff for cleaning or spraying, the issue was not resolved. Dining Disappointment: Since occupancy was low, the hotel replaced the paid buffet breakfast with a restrictive set menu without offering a proper gesture or adjustment. Room Lightning: Needs to be improved coz it was too dark to pack or unpack anything within the room post evening hours.

Helt nytt og fresht hotell i en utrolig gøy by i hjerte av Sri Lanka. Super utsikt mot fjell, litt byliv og skogen. Vennlig personale, god frokost. Hotellet ligger jo på toppen av en ganske bratt bakke og en kan ha problemer med å bli kjørt opp dersom bilen ikke er av beste kvalitet. Uansett, anbefaler Elevate Elle på det varmeste, dette blir et utrolig bra destinasjon i tiden fremover!

We had a great stay at Elevate Ella Resort and Spa. The hotel is beautiful, with stunning mountain views and a very nice pool area. Breakfast was varied and tasty. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay.

The location and design of the hotel is great. It has been opened only few months ago but the finishings are very poor and already now the walls are scratched and furniture damaged. There is a working table in the room but no chair. Definitely not a hotel for people with walking difficulties, many stairs, poorly lighted in the dark and no elevator.
