"We chose to stay, having done so about 6 years ago, and as before this was a wonderful hotel in every way. The staff are really friendly and helpful, the rooms are large with comfy beds (we had a Mountain View room), and the breakfast is fantastic. We ate in the restaurant on one evening, which was really nice too. We used the hot tub and sauna every day, but being brits we aren’t so sure about the “nakedness” of this facility! Not for us…. "First time there. Will be back! A definite recommend if you are in the area to see the castles. Staff is very helpful and most speak English quite well. Each building is its own look, feel and room type. There are elevators but expect some walking and there are hills. Not like the hill to the castle (take the bus or horse carriage). Try it. Make your own opinion. I loved it. "

"Der Hirsch in Füssen ist eine Tradition- und zwar ganz zu Recht. Das Niveau der Gastlichkeit ist sehr hoch. Hilfsbereitschaft des Teams an der Rezeption ist wirklich gut. Ich habe das Restaurant sehr genossen. Das Küchenteam macht eine wirklich sehr gute handwerkliche Arbeit (Zwiebelrostbraten mit sehr guter Fleischqualität und hervorragenden Speckbohnen). Besonders ist mir aufgefallen Fräulein Natalie, die zur Mittagszeit freundlich und sehr kompetent mit ihrem freundlichen Kollegen am Tresen das Restaurant „bewegt“- obwohl sehr jung eine echte Gastgeberin. Mein Dank an das gesamte Hirsch-Team auch an alle die, welche nicht sichtbar sind (super Housekeeping Leistung) Ich komme gerne wieder. Danke "

"This lodging was exactly as the pictures show! Each cottage has everything you will need for a night stay or a week long stay; plates, cups, silverware, pots, pans, toaster, mini fridge, etc. It was easy to get into after hours with the door code that was given via email the day of arrival, clean, updated, and the views are amazing. Coming from the United States I was concerned about communication with the staff, but they were all VERY friendly, spoke English, and very prompt in email communication. The town of Ehrwald is so quaint with restaurants and local shopping. This is a great place to set up base camp for hiking, skiing, or just sightseeing in the Bavarian Alps. "
