"I hate leaving negative info but for the benefit of future travelers, I have to be honest about a few items with this property: 1. It was absolutely buzzing with flies inside. There was spray and a fly swatter inside which indicates this must be a known issue to the property manager. It made our short stay very uncomfortable. 2. This is not a hot tub, it is a swedish bath. "Wow! What an oasis from the business of life! Room was wonderful and spacious; beds were great. View from balcony and all eating areas is incredible. Staff was very responsive and helpful with one exception - wanted to make a shorter night by getting some bar food (as advertised) around 6 pm, but only alternative given was the formal dining at 7 pm. Love accessibility to funicular and train network. Grounds meticulously cared for."

"The view from the lake-facing room was amazing! Our room was comfortable and clean; the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is walking distance from two train stations, Epesses and Cully, with great rail connections. The road and railway traffic is pretty noisy and constant. Parking is limited. Overall a great place to stay, with easy connections/drive to Lausanne, Vevey, Montreux and Geneva."

"This hotel room was magical! Loved the double doors going to the balcony that overlooked Lake Geneva! Spacious, clean, comfortable, well thought out room that just couldn’t be better! The decor was beautiful and the lobby is just breathtaking! Staff were amazing and treated us very well! The food for breakfast was lovely and the outdoor seating was amazing for breakfast and the bar (which we ate at mostly) We found the food in the main dining room a little expensive (especially with the Canadian exchange rate) but in line with most of Switzerland! The beautiful promenade to Chillon Castle is right off the back patio! We utilized our Montreux Riviera card for the museums and transportation to Vevey which we were very appreciative to have! What a beautiful stay in a beautiful city! Thanks for a wonderful memory!"

"Paying for cheaper hotel Villa Toscany you can still use facilities across the road sauna, swimming etc. which is great. Good location. I do struggle to find information on Expedia website that check in for Villa Toscany needs to be done in Royal plaza across the road if I knew it from begging would be more helpful."

"Sadly this hotel is disappointing in so many ways. The staff were very pleasant and helpful but through no fault of theirs, the hotel is very poorly kept, is incredibly outdated and requires more investment in time, money and management. The bathrooms were very poorly kept especially, gardens not maintained and massive bins welcome you at the entrance. Pillows are poor quality, lots of basic maintenance and lacking in characters, atmosphere and care. Please do not be attracted by the views - which are great - but the quality of the hotel is low and I would avoid, despite the views as you will be disappointed."
