Good location and price so it was worth a nights stay but it’s nothing special. Beds hurt our backs but our backs aren’t great. Shared kitchen was ok to put things in fridge overnight. Shower was good, soap but no shampoo. It felt like a dorm, you could hear everything.

The property was in a great location. The hosts added a temporary ramp so we could access the building in wheelchairs. The ramp was very steep and could be oriented the other way so it could be less steep. Otherwise the room was fine and we used our own shower chair to access the shower. The kitchen could use a few more amenities like a dish towel and some paper towels to make it easier to clean up. Decaf tea would be a great addition.

Quiet, comfortable stay on a farm that was just outside of Vik and close to Dyrholaey and Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach. There are 5 rooms with a shared kitchen, sitting area and 2 bathrooms. The bathrooms were modern and spacious, and even though they were 'shared,' there was always at least one open whenever needed. The other guests were quiet and considerate, so we would definitely stay here again.

The bathrooms were disgusting. The kitchen had not been cleaned in years. The outside of the guest house looked rundown with holes in the walls. It was an awful experience. I am going to request our money back. Unacceptable.

Our room was nice and clean and just as described. The shared space as well as the bathrooms were very nice. The only issue we had was we had limited email ability on our trip and we were supposed to receive an email with checkin information 24 hours in advance of our stay. The night before our reservation we still had not received an email and contacted hotels.com which is not easy when you are out of the country. We finally did receive our email from Giljur house at 9:33am the day were were to arrive with check in starting at 4pm. This was very stressful as we had not received the email and this hotel has no front desk to check you in. It would be very helpful if you sent the email out 24 hours before arrival as your site states.

It is very quiet place for a good night sleep. Our room is very clean and spacious. The kitchen is an shared with other travelers but we hardly see anyone there. There are other rooms are share bathroom/WC as well. But our room has our own shower and toilet.
