「This is the first night we stayed in Toscana. The hotel is a real castle located on the top of the hill. The beautiful landscape of agricultural view seen from the hotel was panoramic and breathtaking. The family suite was cozy, containing one living room and two bedrooms. The thermal swimming pool was fantastic and spa center was amazing. Breakfast was flourish. The dinner was also good but overpriced actually. As a whole, I highly recommend staying in Catello di Velona as you visit Toscana.」

「Thishotel is in a fantastic location; it is situated just inside the old gates to the city. And despite being over 500 years old, the room had everything needed for a comfortable stay. My room was huge and overlooked the main road but was still pretty quiet. 」

The room, while rustic and vintage, was very nice. It was so peaceful and quiet! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the drive through Tuscany to get there. Bonus that it’s near Maximus’s house from the gladiator movie sights!」

「Beautiful place close to Montalacino with a nightly shuttle which helps you to avoid driving after dark. The rooms are updated but perfectly holding their place in history. The staff was as genuinely helpful as I have ever seen in my 60 years of travel. 」

「This winery is gorgeous. We wish we were stay longer. The food in the restaurant was excellent and service wonderful. A little challenging to find but worth the effort.」
