This hotel was beautiful and everything we needed. It is located just off St. Mark's Square which is a great location to the shops and restaurants as well as the waterfront. And the AC was fantastic!

Clearly a very old building that the staff try to keep in the best shape they can but the rusting round the bath sealant and the "dodgy" looking electrical sockets left something to be desired. Staff were friendly and helpful. The main plus is the hotels location but if you are looking for up to date creature comforts then this may not be the place for you.

Pretty old building and furnitures, our room air conditioning was too hot for summer time, seems like other rooms was cold enough, buffet breakfast is just okay, lobby is nicely decorated but rooms are old furnitures and some bathrooms are nicer than others … your stay will depend on your luck .. but the excellent location worth taking the chances.

The hotel was in great location and breakfast was great too. We were disappointed with the room though. For the price we paid, it was very small, there was barely any room to move around or to open our luggage. The bed was very uncomfortable too. The elevator would go up to 4th floor and our room was on the 6th floor. Anyway we enjoyed visiting Venice, but I would be careful on chosing a room next time.

Our room was very small. We asked to change and they said they would call us the following day. No call! I would like if they would smile. The breakfast staff were very nice. Location is great. Despite the above I would stay again but request to see the room before. Staff helpful working out a water taxi to get to train station which was great.

The room was a box, just tiny. The photos are misleading. There were ants on the floor and mold in the bathroom. That being said, it was sufficient as a base. AC worked well, the bathroom was large enough and well-appointed, and the location was outstanding, right next to St. Mark’s, perfect for an early morning run along the lagoon, or a short walk to the Ponte Rialto area for food and drinks. The rate is a little high for the accommodations, but the location makes up for it. The inexpensive Vaporetto has stops at the train station and Piazzale Roma, so getting dropped at Rialto Bridge saves you a lot of walking and dragging your suitcase up and down stairs.

We liked the historic location and it was like a prime spot. We think that breakfast is extremely poor (scrambled eggs and sausages as a hot food), coffee was not good, we had flickering light in a bathroom which we reported over 4 days and it was never fixed. The last evening they forgot to bring us enough clean towels and iron that we used, leaked the entire time but the maid who cleaned our floor was extremely helpful and kind.

Right smack in the center of the action. Market next door, fridge and kitchen in the room. No need to go out for a late night snack… buy your ham and bread and snack right in your room. Piazza San Marco is literally 18 steps away. Great value for the location.

We only stayed for 2 nights and the location and breakfast were excellent. Aside from those two highlights, the bed mattress and pillows were atrocious. There is no cushion left and you feel every spring pressing against your body. I could go on with a list of more negatives than positives but I think you get the point. Bottom line, we don’t regret staying here because it was for just a couple of nights before we started our cruise.

The hotel is a short easy walk from the public boat dock. Approximately 40 minutes ride from the airport on the public water taxi. Just a short walk to San Marco Square. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The room was extremely clean. Highly recommend this hotel.
