Leider kann ich dieses Hotel nicht bewerten. Wir haben es gebucht, hatten uns schon gewundert, dass der check in wo anders sein sollte. Als wir dann im „Monaco & Grand Canal“ waren, wurde uns verkündet, dass das eigentliche Hotel geschlossen sei und wir ein Zimmer dort hätten. Der Aufenthalt war dennoch schön und auch das Hotel war super, aber eine vorherige Information wäre toll gewesen.

The hotel is magnificent, located in the center of Venice. All restaurants within walking distance. A few steps from the main square of St. Mark. Great breakfasts with great views of the canal. Thanks for the best vacation week. Will definitely be back and will always recommend to friends.

Centralissimo, buona scelta!

Ho prenotato all'Hotel Selvàdego, ma ho ricevuto un upgrade all'Hotel Monaco e Gran Canal. Si tratta di un'ottima struttura a pochi passi da Piazza San Marco. Mi è piaciuta soprattutto perché molto silenziosa. Camere con ogni comfort, dalla televisione all'ampio bagno, al letto grande e comodo. Prodotti da bagno disponibili. Unico neo: manca il bollitore per fare il caffè o il thè, un piccolo dettaglio che fa però la differenza per chi rientra da una lunga giornata di lavoro fuori sede. L'ho segnalato alla reception.

Die Menschen waren super Freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das. Man das Frühstück im Hauptgebäude ein nehmen muss - sofern man natürlich Frühstück haben möchte - ist auch nicht störend! Wir durften nach zwei Tagen einen Upgrade erfahren, so konnten wir Feindes genießen. Der Palazzo Selvadego ist aber definitiv der ruhigere von beiden.

Great location, just off St. Mark’s Square and also really close to the water taxi from/to the airport. This hotel is basically rooms with a Concierge desk tucked away to the side. No additional ‘facilities’. It’s situated over a clothing store - but it works well as, obviously, it’s all just footfall passing beneath and not revving vehicles of course. Check in and out is at the large hotel just around a few corners. But most of the above is described on line anyway. We thought we’d get used to our mattresses but found them a combination of too firm and too springy - neither of us got one full night’s sleep out of the four The room was generally very clean, apart from a few details in the bathroom - e.g. the phone, basin overflow and hairdryer would benefit from some attention. The room had good tea/coffee facilities, crockery and cutlery so we bought in enough breakfast products locally to get us started in the mornings and ate out the rest of the time. Overall we were pleased with our choice of accommodation and we had an excellent Venetian break.
