My partner and I had an amazing time in Venice, the hotel staff were very helpful in guiding us how to get to the islands and the hotel was very clean and lovely. The room itself was absolutely beautiful, such a good size with lovely cosy furnishings and the breakfast was very decent.

The staff was exceptional. They recommended dinner options and made the reservation. They also gave me instructions for getting to the airport. Including the price and ferry departure and arrival times. The room was very fancy. I would stay there again.

The staff were very friendly, and the location was perfect. However, we were surprised that there was no kettle in the room. The first night, we couldn’t sleep well because of mosquitoes. On the second night, I asked the reception for help, and they brought a mosquito repellent plug-in. After that, we slept well.

Staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. We stayed in a suite with a king size bed. The bed was very uncomfortable. So hard it hurts. Pillows were also hard and/or flat. I would not recommend for a good night’s sleep.

Honeymoon

We went on a tour of Europe for our honeymoon and this stay was incredible. Irvin at the front was kind, helpful, and set the precedent for amazing service. The AC got cold, the room was more spacious than most, and it was very clean. The hotel is tucked in a cozy residential corner and is always a 15 minute walk or less from everything. My only critique is that the bed wasn’t super comfy. Other than that, great stay and would highly recommend!

Book the city view room

I booked a deluxe room with canal view. It turns out that the canal view room appeared older and smaller. I transferred to a city view room on another newer section of the hotel that was significantly larger and nicer. The a/c was pretty loud, and breakfast average.

This hotel upon first look is absolutely stunning. Though our room was a little outdated, I found it extremely cozy. Everything was pretty clean, not perfect, and the shower was really small but manageable. The staff was okay, they didn't really seem like they enjoyed tourists, to be honest– but that was the general feeling I got from the people in Venice. We had drinks at the hotel bar that were great and the overall ambiance was very regal!

If coming to this hotel, the staff service is exceptional but……… there is a sewer scent when you enter the hotel (not constant but occurs enough). DO NOT book room 607 if you are scared of ghost. We were unable to sleep the entire stay due to activities in the room. The staff never stepped foot inside the room as well. The jacuzzi is inoperable and there’s no standing shower head connections. Iron your clothes in advance as ironing is illegal on the island. The hotel provides this service for a FEE ($7 a shirt). Lastly don’t bother contacting the hotel in advance via email as your message will go unaddressed. You are REQUIRED to leave your room key each and every time you leave the hotel!!!!! Other than the above….Perfect location to reach all tourist destination

I was amazed how quite inside the hotel was. Easy walk St Marks Square or the Grand Canal and the water taxis. A little quirky alley to the entrance just added to the ambiance of being in Venice. There’s also a direct entrance from a canal right into the lobby! The staff was exceptional, very helpful and knowledgeable. In fact I left some property in the safe, they notified me rather quickly but I was already on a train to Florence. They went above and beyond finding a solution.

This property is OK. Staff was friendly but for the price of this hotel it’s honestly a 2 star. Rooms are very dated, our bathroom sink was being held up by a couple screws and we were afraid to even lean on it. Room was generally clean but bed was not very comfortable. Pillows were very flat. I would not stay here again. I don’t know how it got 4 stars. Location is great and near the main attractions (St. Mark’s Square, Doge’s Palace, Rialto Bridge, Grand Canal).

The property is in a convenient location and has a water taxi port which is very convenient. It is also close to the water bus and has many historic and charming areas, such a lovely common room. It was also quiet even though close to San Marco piazza. However, the bed and pillows in our room were hard and the property turns off the air conditioning after the summer. We had to open the window to keep the room cool. This resulted in mosquitos coming into the room. On the first night, we didn’t care as we had been travelling for 26 hours when we arrived, but after that, the hardness of the bed and the mosquitos began to test us. The bathroom was good. I understand that Venice is expensive and that this is a 17th century building, but it didn’t meet my expectations of a 4 star hotel. I expected more comfort for the money we paid.
