We absolutely loved Carlo. The breakfast was good. The sheets and towels were clean. The room was very dirty (we cleaned it ourselves the first night). Once we figured out the AC and the Mosquito zapper (after I got 13 bites), the room became more comfortable.

Great service but terrible beds

Cosy and charming Hotel with great service. Unfortunately the bed was hard as concrete and the pillows thin as paper. After walking all day around in Venice for hours, a nice bed would be exactly what anyone would need. Breakfast was ok, small baguettes, yoghurt, cereals, milk, juice, coffee and jelly. We missed some ham and cheese, but it was ok. Location was great. We could walk anywhere we wanted within 15 minutes.

It is secluded, tucked away, so not noisy at night. It is a fairly basic B&B, you get what you pay for. Bed was fine and comfortable enough.Bathroom was small, but functional. The air conditioning worked a treat, thankfully..!!! Breakfast was really quite sparse, but Italians eat light for breakfast, and there is a couple of eateries just around the corner. It is close to a water bus stop, the Accademia and a bridge. It is a good minutes walk to St Mark's square or a 5 min bus ride. All in all we just wanted a place to sleep, have a quick bite in the morning and get out to see the sights. So, this was ideal. The owner, Carlo, was very helpful and kept me supplied with cappuccinos in the morning, which was a bonus..!!

Grazioso hotel a due passi da piazza san marco

Siamo stati due notti, la notte di halloween e la notte del primo. Ci aspettavamo una città più viva e invece la sera si spegne tutto, anche per le serate più di festa. Complessivamente siamo stati benissimo, la città è un museo a cielo aperto e l'alloggio ci ha permesso di viverlo al meglio. Il quartiere è forse uno dei migliori di venezia, ci sono, a mio parere, i ristoranti migliori in termini di qualità prezzo e la distanza con le attrattive principali è davvero minima. Il b&b era carino, non il massimo, ma ho trovato ragionevole il rapporto qualità prezzo. La pulizia accettabile anche se nei punti meno in vista si nascondevano diversi strati di polvere. La colazione non ricchissima, ma comunque soddisfacente. Alla fine del soggiorno ci sono stati addebitati 8 euro in più e ancora non ho capito bene il perché.. il proprietario ci ha detto che erano tasse, ma sul prezzo finale doveva essere incluso tutto in teoria. Per questi motivi non mi sento di valutarlo con il massimo del punteggio, ma devo dire che in linea di massima siamo stati davvero bene. Lo consiglierei.

Good location, but that's about it.

Location was good, could easily walk everywhere in 20 mins. Room was tiny and had no room for all our stuff. The bathroom was also tiny and barely had enough space to dry off...the water took 10 mins to warm up. Minimal outlets, tv was basically on the ceiling. The breakfast was just yogurt, croissants, and one or two cereals. Also, the bed was lumpy and hard as a rock with buttons stabbing you as you try to sleep. The room was freezing at night when it was 50 degrees out. I asked about the heat and he said no, you don't need heat, why, are you cold? Use another blanket. I had three blankets and was still freezing. The manager started off nice, but, gave me a hard time about leaving my bags at the hotel while we went on our tour the morning we checked out. I told him the tour went until 2 and he said 130 would be better. I have no control over the tour and refused to stay and wait for me to get back. He left our luggage in the lobby and buzzed us in the door to get it. Where was he in the middle of the day if not at the hotel doing his job? This hotel feature even states we can leave our bags at the hotel and he was less then accommodating. I have zero control over when a tour gets back and was on a boat ride back with him telling me he told me 1:30 would be best for him.Also there's a large steep stairway up to the rooms that was difficult with bags. I would not stay at this hotel again and will not recommend it to a friend. Definitely not worth the price. Very disappointed.

Room is quite small, particularly the bathroom. Location great, quiet. Five rooms and main proprietor there virtually all the time. Suggest you use your cell phone flashlight when entering at night as motion sensors don't pick up near the main door. The hinge on toilet seat broke and was fixed promptly.

Jeg har bodd på hotellet før og liker denne typen hotell . Personlig og ikke for stort, men likevel med alt du trenger. Beliggenheten er flott i en del av byen som ikke er alt for dyr , men likel sentral.

Hidden gem

this place is in a great location. Far enough from all the noise but close to all tourist attractions. Carlo is awesome. His customer service makes all the difference. The room was comfortable and always cleaned. Breakfast was one of the best breakfast during our 2 week trip in Italy. It is a hidden gem.

Charming and quaint, but...

Great location. Owner was friendly and helpful. We liked the quaint atmosphere of the place. Room was spacious. It was not as clean as we would have preferred. I got some insect bites that I suspected may be bedbugs, but never confirmed and saw no sign of them in my luggage. If it hadn't been for that, I would wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Hôtel au calme, mais.....

Bon accueil, l'hôtel est situé dans un quartier calme, proche du canal. Je déplore le manque de convivialité du au fait que apparemment peu de chambres étaient occupées. La chambre, que nous avions, était spacieuse et agréable, hormis la salle de bain, la baignoire était abimée, pas de bouchon étanche, des jets mais qu'on a pas pu utilisé car on ne pouvait pas remplir la baignoire. La télévision ne fonctionnait pas. Pour la personne qui nous a accueillie, il était sympa et parlait français, il était attentionné et faisait de son mieux. Le cadre de la salle des petits déjeuners mériterait d'être redécorer car vieillot et peut lumineux. Enfin le jour de notre départ, nous n'avons pas pu avoir de petit déjeuner (départ trop tôt), un geste commercial aurait été le bienvenu à la facturation, on nous a donner que quelques biscuits. Le petit déjeuner était à minima en général.
