"Lynda's accomodation is designed for both form and function. There's enough seating area outside for every type of weather. When it's sunny you can sit in front of the house or lie in the grass, when there's rain you can huddle inside or sit under the canopy. "We stayed for three nights in Snowy Lodge. Check in was easy, your keys are left in an envelope in the small reception, theres a map on the wall to tell you where to go. Take note with regards to check in and check out. Hotels.com states check in at 5 o'clock when its actually between 4 and 5 and check out at 9 when its actually 9:30 to 10. "The room was new and very clean … on arrival young lady showed us to our room . We booked on line to have evening Meal but not confirmation until we arrived …. I asked what time was breakfast and they asked if we could pre - book for the two days we stayed there … First days breakfast was excellent and cooked to perfection by a young man …. The second day was different as we felt sorry for the lady that was cooking breakfast as she was just about to go home and didn’t realised we were booked in for breakfast that morning …. Bless her she apologies “as she thought she finished for the day - she immediately made us some coffee and tea and pulled everything out of stock again to make us a breakfast which was nice. She couldn’t do enough for us. As a suggestion the manger should have a better system especially when you had to pre - order the breakfast ….. must say not keen on that idea as who know what they fancy for breakfast the day before - but it to save waste we understand … But written up on a board for all the catering staff in the kitchen so all can see - they then know what has to be cook and served Anyway very grateful to the lady …. as I stated staff were lovely and we think this was just an over slight … made us late leaving but otherwise a lovely stay."

"The only negative was we were not informed that they do not provide food on Sunday or Monday evenings but there are places within a 5 min drive. The room was very clean and bed was very comfy. As it was exstreamly warm we were provided a life saver fan. All staff were very welcoming and attentive and worked very hard. We had no noise at night as it’s situated in a quite village. Breakfast was perfect every morning with plenty of choice. We would definitely recommend the Talbot hotel to our family and friends. Thanks to every one for a great stay."

"Our fourth stay at the Metropole in recent years.A privilege to stay in such a unique historic building,with yes a little patina around the edges.If you dont embrace the nostalgia then budget chain's are available.The staff here are so good,as is the breakfast and the pool and spa facility.A great location for roadtrips around mid Wales,and a huge car park."
