"Staff were fantastic. We really enjoyed the kitchenette facility with a shared fridge, microwave and coffee and tea. Everything was clean and felt well taken care of. We did find the pillows to be a bit small and lumpy (there were only 2 pillows on a queen size bed) and the shower does make the whole bathroom floor wet - thankfully they staff are happy to refresh your towels daily and they do have a towel warmer if you want to dry them faster yourself. "The hotel is close to the Rotterdam Train Station, and also nearby to an open mall, and some very nice eateries and shops. The buffet breakfast. 10 STARS, and the staff are truly customer oriented! Our room, although clean, was a NEGATIVE! First, NO LUGGAGE RACK (folding stand) in the room. NOR, IS THERE A SAFE FOR VALUABLES, or a REFRIGERATOR, or even a MICROWAVE. The open closet and a tiny shelf above the coffee and tea service is the only area (aside from the countertop in the bathroom) to store other essentials you need. Or, leave it all in your luggage. FORTUNATELY, THE BED AND PILLOWS WERE QUITE COMFORTABLE. THE BLOW DRYER IN THE BATHROOM WORKS FINE. 2ND MAJOR NEGATIVE: Elevators available, but some do not work, and the major one that goes to Floor 0 (Bottom floor that takes you to the entrance of the hotel or garage) was “IFFY!” Upon checking out (time was of the essence), we encountered this problem. The other operational elevator, WOULD NOT GO BELOW FLOOR 1. We encountered these issues during our stay. And that’s when, DAVID (A kind-hearted, dining room staff member) RESCUED US. The front desk clerk, was occupied. Stairs located by the front desk, but luggage impossible to carry by ourselves. David saw me running back and forth hoping to find someone to help? Upon hearing our problem, he grabbed our 2 suitcases and bolted down the stairs. We followed at his heels! He refused a tip, but agreed to a photo added to our review. Stay here ONLY for the STAFF & LOCAL."

"If you need a room for the night it's cheap and the bed is comfortable. There was no tv, coffee pot, iron, hair dryer or ironing board in the room. So if you have to have these, the blow dryer, the iron and ironing board are available at the desk, and there is also coffee available there. The shower was nice. I would stay again."

"Awful experience. I booked this hotel based on the reviews, but I was completely misled. I ended up paying €150 for parking for less than three days because the staff were unable to help with parking at the hotel, despite parking being listed as one of the booking features. There was no daily water replenishment — only two tiny 200ml bottles provided for the entire stay. The breakfast was disappointing, and honestly, the price I paid did not reflect the experience that was advertised at all. I have stayed in many hotels, but this was by far the worst 4-star hotel I have experienced. I would never recommend it, nor would I ever return. The room was cold even with the heating turned on, and the hot water in the shower was temperamental. I booked the executive suite, but there was nothing “executive” about it. The carpet was visibly dirty, and the TV remote was filthy. The only positive part of the experience was that the staff were friendly and respectful, even though they were unable to resolve the issues during my stay."

"Location is good, close to Markthal, shopping street. Staff is helpful. Hotel is old and needs restoration like scratch marks on window pane and the rubber caulking is peeling off. Don't know what happened that Friday night. It seems cars were racing against each other. There were honking, backfiring, people shouting, yelling and went on till about 2am."

"** READ & AVOID THIS HOTEL ** We have stayed there many times but now never again. Definitely not a 4 star hotel! The disgusting lack of cleanliness in the room was our main issues. We went to sleep in the bed, we noticed there was no sheet, when we pulled back the fitted sheet it was stained! There was approximately 6 or 7 different stains on the sheet! We complained they sent up cleaning staff & she went to put the new fitted sheet on it also was also stained. Nobody is bothering to check if the sheets are actually getting cleaned or if what they’re putting on your bed. The staff was nice & changed our room but in the next room we noticed on the headboard, a random clip & used tissues. When we went to use the body wash in the shower, there was nothing & for 3 days no one bothered to check or refill it. The sink was also clogged & smelled, when we complained. They asked if the plug was pushed down we told them no & it smelled awful & there’s an obvious clog that wouldn’t allow the water to drain. When they went to fix it, they just pulled the plug up a little bit more It still was clogged & still stunk they really did nothing. We also went to the breakfast buffet in the restaurant at 10:45 AM. They happily took our almost €50and sat us down. We got our first little bit of food and started to eat & they told us the buffet was closing in 5 minutes.. they should have told us before taking our money & let us choose if we want to go or not. I would avoid this hotel!"
