Rude, rude, rude

Firstly we were over charged even though my booking confirmation had all the relevant information on it. The manager was extremely rude to both me and my daughter, refused to help me and would not give me her name or the name of the owner. I was made to feel as though i had incovenienced them by showing up. This was the worst B&B experience I have ever had. I would never recommend them to any one and am now nervous to book through hotels.com as a result.

The service was excellent and we were so comfortable. We had a happy stay and will tell others about this great B and B. We just struggled to find out how to use the overhead fan but did finally work out that it had a remote!! The B and B is well positioned and near the beach and resturantes so it was a lovely place for us to stay.

Accommodations were excellent, and this venue in a very wealthy neighborhood was easy to locate. But the "cultural experience" of staying behind high-security gates after seeing the squalor of townships was a bit strange.

Bed and Breakfast exceeded all expectations

I don't usually stay in bed and breakfast's but I was really glad that I made the decision to do so this time. It was an incredible place. Immaculate, peaceful and a tremendous breakfast served by wonderful staff.

The Sandringham B&B in Umhlanga

Lovely four star B&B in Umhlanga, the managers Sheila and Alan were more than accommodating for the duration of our stay. The breakfasts are excellent, continental buffet followed by your choice of cooked option. The B&B is very secure in a nice area, only 10mins walk from the huge Gateway shopping complex, and 15mins walk from Umhlanga waterfront and restaurants. Worth a visit, you definitely get your money's worth!

Fantastic hosts. Professional and friendly. Relaxed atmosphere and lovely, spacious rooms. Ideal base for anyone running the Comrades in between wonderful shopping and laid back seaside location (so having a car helps)
