We arrived friday afternoon. We were placed on the third floor. We booked 2 rooms which we expected to be placed close /next or opposite each other but that was not the case. The lifts were not working and when we asked when are they going to be fixed the lady lied to us and said on that same friday which it never happened until we checked out the next monday. What irratated us was that there was no one to help us the guest with the laggages, we had to carry them to the third floor ourselves. On Saturday we went out and when we came back at night

Good rooms, bad service at Waterfront hotel

The hotel itself has lovely rooms, clean and spacious. The service is terrible at reception. Not answering calls, even the welcome was disappointing.

Hotel Review

I would not recommend the hotel to anyone. My first impression when I got there is that the place is in disrepair. Tiles missing from walls, only one elevator working, dirty couches as you enter the lobby, etc.. My experience of the room was also not good, there was no toilet paper in the room, there was smelly rotten water in the kettle, it smelled of smoke and the carpet was very dirty. The staff is friendly, but the building is in need of maintenance and and a deep clean.

Not so Great this time

It was disappointing to say the least. The last time we went there the service was impeccable. This time around the we asked to change a room as the balcony door couldn't lock so we had to wait for the maintenance guy to come in the following afternoon. The carpets have stains on them, the outside balcony was layered with dust and so where the curtains. They only gave us one set of one set of moisturisers when we where there. The food was a mish mash of slop. Only saving grace is the kind and patient front desk staff and the maintenance guy.

Important improvements necessary

All rooms should have bar fridges so the visitors don't have to ask for ice at reception. The shower has no hot water at all or takes. Long for hot water to heat up.

We had a disappointing stay for 1 the water in our room was cold in d eving only hot in the morning. The cleaning lady we had an encounter with was rude and unfriendly which led to an argument. But management was great in resolving the issue. Otherwise that was the first and last time we booked that hotel.

Disasterfront Hotel and Spa

Misleading and really sad that the hotel which is in prime location, is just pathetically being allowed into ruin. Booked a family room for my colleague as a 30th birthday gift. imagine my dismay. The hotel did not have a family room available, as they are apparently being refurbished. pax was given a standard room with a COT for the 4 year old child! it does not end there... the aircons in the room were also not working. Saturday 22 Feb - the weather recorded at over 31 degrees celcius, with no aircon. the saddest part is that absolutely no service recovery was done. i will NEVER send anybody to this hotel again. EVER! What was supposed to have been a lovely 30th birthday celebration, was marred by the hotels dissinterest.

the Waterfront to the rescue

I had a booking at Mthonjeni Residence and Café, but the neighbourhood was just to scary to get out of the car, had to find another hotel fast on Hotel.com and the service in helping me out was excellent at the Waterfront

üble Umgebung... direkt am frachthafen. der Parkplatz wird bewacht aber man kommt sich vor wie in einem Gefängnis, sogar beim rausfahren werden Führerschein und Gesicht fotografiert !? was wäre wenn man das nicht will, muss man dann dort bleiben??

Erstes Zimmer schrecklich Schimmel an der Decke vom Bad Wasserflecken und Haare auf dem Boden vom Bad haben dan ein neues Zimmer bekommen was zwar größer war aber aber man sieht das da schon ewig nichts mehr gemacht wurde für den preis nie wieder und es wurde mit einem poll Geworben obwohl sie keinen haben .
